I'm trying to design a vessel for marine purposes. However I can't determined the best thickness for the wall of vessel to be used. This is because I can't find a good solution to determined the formula, to do the calculation as to relate the vessel wall thickness and the impact load if it is strike to the brick wall in water (some loss should occured cause by the seawater)for e.g. If anyone has a good solution with analytical formula, please help...

Vessel diameter 500mm, length 500mm, thickness ???
Thank you.
