I'm working on a project that deals with the handling of potash in it's as-mined state. I'm looking for information regarding the types of materials that can live in such an environment. I did quite a bit of searching but didn't find a whole lot.
Can 304 stainless stand up to it? Do I need to worry about seals and gaskets on gearboxes getting eaten? I'd like to use some sort of toothed belt for part of the motion control, but I'm not sure what types of polymers would be suitable.
Unfortunately this is early on in the project and I don't have a lot more information on it.
Thanks!
