I want a designing example for the control loop of a very high power boost converter with the following specification:
- input voltage: 100 - 200V;
- output voltage: 300V;
- output current: max 100A;
- output voltage ripple: max 2%;
- input current ripple: max 20%;
- switching frequency: 2500Hz;
- CCM/DCM operation.

Well, if you formerly worked only with table top switchmode supplies you might think your design is a very high power converter, but for someone working with traction converters for railroad stock this is only an auxillary power supply...

Concerning your control you should consider that the voltage conversion ratio of the boost converter changes when operation mode of the converter changes from discontious to continous.

Unitrode (I guess the now are a part of TI) manufactures a broad range of switchmode controller ICs which should be applicable also in your power range if you add a suitable driver. The also have lots of intresting application notes on switchmode controllers, especially on current mode controllers which might be an option for your application too.

For your application you should consider noise as an important factor. The choke will generate a lot of noise at 5 Khz if you switch at 2500 Hz. If noise could be a problem in your application switching at 20 kHz also would be possible in your power range.
