Good morning, gentlemen
Could someone help us with the following.
In the model with ETABS 18.0.2 of the attached file we get to perform the analysis and we are ready to calculate the design.
The problem we have is that the design menu its options appear deactivated, which does not allow the design to be made. Does anyone know why this happens? What could be our mistake? We attach an image of the menu.
On the other hand, the total area of the roof is modeled with several subareas, this in order to achieve the application of linear type load on the purlins. (While ETABS does not have it, SAP2000 brings an option to achieve this: “Assign-Load Area-Uniform to the framework (Shell)”).
Does anyone know of a more practical method to achieve this result in ETABS?
