I have to design a system where a liquid eductor is used to pumping and mixing two pipelines. The motive fluid will be water. I need to calculate the nozzle diameter and size eductor. If you have any sugestion or any reference for help me. Please send me

Regards

Tatiana Ferreira

Maybe you have the info already, however the reference below is very useful:
"Process Vacuum System Design and Opeartion", by James L Ryans & Daniel L Roper.

Design is similar to steam jet ejectors, except a simple converging nozzle is used.

Alternately contact a reliable Manufacture, (can be found on the web)

I suggest you look at Penberthy catalog. There are other manufacturer's as well.

I think you can also find some information in handbooks. The motive power part is easy, theoretically. Calculate the velocity of the fluid in the nozzle from the pumping rate and get do a velocity balance. The only difficult part is the pressure drop and nozzle efficiency.
