Hello,
I am working on extended heat transfer from the reactors using an efficient fin design. I have to use FTT ( Finite Time Thermodynamic) Analysis to maximise COP of the cycle involving the reactor.
Could someone give me some references on the same and also on fin designs.

Thanx

Get a heat transfer handbook and you will come across equations and charts dealing with fin design and efficiencies. From what I recall the equations that I came across were hyperbolic functions involving sinh and cosh functions.
Unfortunately I do not remember the author and publishing firm of that hanbook but your search should not be hard because I think that there is only one handbook published in that field.

There is a good book, that might help formulate this: Fundamentals of Heat and Mass Transfer by Incropera DeWitt, published by Wiley.

There is a group of researchers who did a good job on heat sinks:

C. S. Wang, M. M. Yovanovich and J.R Culham, General Model
for Natural Convection: application to annular-fin heat sinks, HTDVol.343, National Heat Transfer Conference, Vol.5, ASME 1997.

Best of luck!
Serge Y
