Depth of sawcuts

How relative is the depth of saw cut relative to the concrete thickness and the timing of the sawcut to receive caulk material?

Missed this... but the depth should be 1/4 to 1/3 of the slab thickness and should occur approx 6hrs to 8hrs after finishing. Can be sooner with a sofcut type of saw
