dell inspiron-2650 screen blackout 1

Hi

I have a Dell Inspiron 2650 laptop computer with an Intel Pentium 4 processor. The screen blacks out regularly during the initial start-up or while in use. This problem is quite annoying. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what was the cause and how did you fix it?

You might check with Dell tech support. I've had a similar problem with my HP's screen, which required re-programming of some flash in the display controller

What about the power settings for your monitor? Check the settings in the control panel.
Also check Dell's website for a BIOS upgrade.
