How to delete an element?
I try to delete an element but I get an error : deletion of native elements is restricted to meshed generated using bottom up technique

How can I get rid of this error?

I guess that you are talking about Abaqus, right ? Then the easiest option should be the conversion of native mesh to orphan. That's because native mesh is connected to geometry and you can't manipulate individual elements in most cases. But if you convert this mesh to orphan you will be able to delete elements and perform many more operations (using Edit Mesh tools). To create orphan mesh from native one just use Mesh --> Create Mesh Part option.
