Delayed Ettringite Formation

For a pavement that is experiencing accelerated deterioration due to delayed ettringite formation, and that is near a minimum service level condition (i.e., nearly "failed"), has anyone had previous experience with being able to recycle this pavement by rehabilitating it with an asphalt overlay? (In this case, it's a reinforced PCC pavement.) Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
