All,

Anyone have any good references to texts or papers discussing the relationship between compactive effort, degree of compaction and undrained shear strength/unconfined compressive strength of cohesive soils?

I'm aware that these strength factors may change depending on the confining pressure for unsaturated soils.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

Jeff - if you got that disk I sent you in January (hope you got it)- check out the ORN (British overseas research notes) - I think it would be ORN-3 - if I remember correctly, they have a chart of UU or CBR (which can be correlated to UU) for various levels of saturation and compaction.
