Im currently designing a screw, and for its hexagonal head, I need a large sphere to intersect it in a way that leaves (from top view of the screw) a circle inside of the hexagon at a certain distance from the corners. Can I have a sphere intersect the extruded hexagonal head at certain distances from the top and do a boolean intersect?

You could do this with multiple bodies. When you create the sphere (by revolve, I assume), create it as a new body and then use Insert --> Feature --> Combine.

But...

Why bother with the separate body creation if you are able to create the revolve in the right place? Just make a revolved cut.
