Hello,

Does anyone know why LSR molders typically decompress the cold runner *after* the valve gates are closed?

I can understand this practice with open nozzles, but don't know why it's also done with valved ones.

Thanks,

Probably because the liquid viscosity is so low that leakage can be a problem.
