dear all,
I'm modeling a building consists of precast shear wall attached to diaphragm using ETABs, this is my first time to do this I searched a lot about reading diaphragm reactions to walls and design the diaphragm it self for cord reinforcement but nothing gave me straight way to do it, I drew my model as slab assigned it as diaphragm to read stresses on the diaphragm for reinforcement and assigned one joint on each panel to a diaphragm to read the diaphragm reactions on the walls, I'm not sure if this is the right way to do it, so I need to use yours thoughts on my way and if any one faced such case.
