I'm using an in-line conductivity meter to monitor water purity. However, as this is a US company in Europe, I'm getting a little confused with guidelines.

Does EP (European Pharmacopeia)allow temperature compensation in conductivity measurements, unlike USP 23 <645> which requires non-compensated measurement?
Does using compensation actually affect the accuracy of the measurement(in what way?) or is the USP guideline simply in aid of harmonisation of measurement?
