Datum Plane Names

I'm new to WF5 after having used WF3 sporadically, but I cannot get the default Datum Planes to automatically be named (or tagged) TOP, FRONT, BOTTOM as in WF3. Is there a setting which provides this option?

You need to create template parts (start parts) and assemblies with the named features, named views, parameters, etc. that you want in all your parts. Then you need to set config.pro options to point Pro/E to these files so it uses them automatically.

Creating default planes in a new empty part without using a template start part and I get 3 datums named DTM1, DTM2 & DTM3.


You need to setup your template file so those planes are named whatever you want them to be.
