Are there any negative issues like interference that could arise from installing the telephone line and the computer cat 5 cable in the same pvc conduit to a desk station?

None that I ever knew of.
I would suggest that when pulling drops, pull two of each while you are at it. It is easier to pull two now, then have to come back later and wish you had.
