Hello all,

I created a parabolic mirror and I want to cut the surface on a CNC unit.

The tool path looks OK in PRO/NC however when it cuts the part the parabola is segmented in 8 straight line segments instead of a zillion of tiny segments.

Is there a setting in PRO/NC that will allow me to get the increments size as I want them to be?

Should I look at the CNC interface?

I am using an OMNI Turn CNC unit.

TIA

Michael

Mike,

There is the TOLERANCE setting in the parameters. This controls the chord height of each little segment. However, it is usually defaulted to .001 and it sounds by what you are saying to be much more than that. If it is appearing correctly in Play Path, I would suspect your post-processor..

Regards
