My company wants me to cut cardboard. I have only Ben running a fo4020 amada laser for 3 months, I have Ben studying up to try it but anything will help. Amada said to modify one I have and to have trace off, flooding with n2 and go as fast as possible without affecting geometry. The only ones I have are for steel and 3/4" plywood. We are thinking 1/8"solid cardboard, because I was told the corrugated style will burn to fast with oxygen pockets.

The oxygen pockets inside the matierial will cause it to burn. they are right to switch to nitrogen and run it as fast as possible with the trace off. i would find a condition for thin SS and use it as a starting point. more than likely you will need to loved the power and the duty. im inclined to say to keep the FREQ at CW. Make sure you keep a close eye on it while it cutting, you dont want ti to crash becasue the HS is turned off. i would guess somewhere around:

Spd: 100ipm
pwr: 600w
Freq: 2000
Duty 75%
Gas type: N2
Pressure: 2.0 bar

no Idea what to put the focus at. i would start at 0.00 and adjust from there.
