I'm having problems mounting a BTU meter on a 200 mm chilled water ABS pipe right now. The BTU meter is installed after the CHW pump's isolation valve. The issue is that ABS piping requires a long time to cure. The contractor demanded a 72-hour curing period (3 days). During the tourist season, the five-star hotel is overrun by tenants. This project was initially scheduled for January in the hopes of exploiting the winter season. The hotel management team declined my request for a three-day closure, and I'm at a loss as to how to address my issues. I verified this with the contractor, who stated that the time limit is set by the solvent's manufacturer at 72 hours. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks

Try getting which solvent they use to see how to speed this up, usually tighter fit, dry and warmth.

Why ABS?

Or use PE

Or copper

Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

The solvent brand is EURAPIPE DURAFLOW, ATTACHED

This building is 18 years old, and the BTU meter is mounted on a CHW pipe that was already there. The whole network uses ABS.
