Dear Expert,

Kindly let us know the following questions answer,

1. For Cu Ni 90/10 pipe routed inside the water ballast tank, so what type of joint is suitable & acceptable as per class rule.

2. For Cu Ni 90/10 pipe flange and other material is NAB as per owner technical specification, let me know what is the reason there selection NAB materials for fittings?

Regards,

Mani.P

CuNi fittings are very expensive vs bronze. Bronze fittings have good enough corrosion resistance and their extra wall thickness vs class 200 pipe gives them similar life to the rest of the system. Plus, socket braze bronze fittings are super easy to install. Socket braze fittings usually come with 5% Silphos rings and I usually cap the joint with 15%. For better corrosion resistance consider using 56% silver braze filler.
