I am working on a concept study for an oil & gas onshore field would like to know the following:
- What is the allowable temperature at Desalter Inlet. I undestand that the crude is preheated between 65 to 70°c before entering the desalter.
- Is there any guideline between the Viscocity of the crude and the temperature at desalter inlet.
Normally the vendor will guarentee the performance of the desalter for a given temperature and also recommends the temperature at desalter inlet. However I would appreciate if anybody can suggest what would be the best approximation during concept engineering phase.
Thanks.
