We recently purchased a company that uses Solidworks. They currently have one local license. I am wondering if anyone out there knows if the Solidworks licensing is comparable to the Creo licensing over a network. They (solidworks) wants to charge us $2000 for a "Licensing Manager", and I'm wondering If I can use the FlexLm manager that we use with Creo.

Any thoughts?

I will post this in the Solidworks forum as well, just in case.

Salidworks uses flexlm as well. However, I suspect the $2000 is to get a floating license upgrade form a node locked license.

Wow!

Hello,

Yes!!! Solid works and PTC work on Flexlm itself. They use different ports however. So you are using Solid works floating license...both can be configured on same server.
