Hi,

I am about to ask my IT support stuff to install a Creo electrical license.
What is the official name of this tool: CREO Parametric Electrical Design?
Thank you!

Is it the CREO Parametric Electrical Design called Creo Schematics?
Or is Creo Schematics related to CAD electrical (harness) design?

I don't know. Thats why I used a question mark. But there is a Creo Schematics.

I believe there is also electric design features as part of their regular parametric software.

Might be easiest to contact them.

You need to ask PTC or your VAR for information about licensing. PTC re-groups functionality under new names various functions. How they are licensed varies.

Creo Schematics is a 2D general purpose schematics tool which encompasses:

  • P&ID
  • Block
  • Wiring
  • HVAC
  • Functional
  • Schematic
  • Hydraulic
  • Pneumatic

Schematic does not appear to be particularly suitable for electrical schematic capture. However, it's possible to use Creo Schematics to display information extracted from the Electrical Design managed information.

If you haven't used it before, I'd recommend finding a PTC training course.

If you don't know what a VAR is then either the IT support staff knows or you don't have one.

You could use a search for "VAR software"

You list US as the place you live but English is not your primary language?
