Hello,

I am running a viscoelastic analysis for concrete in ABAQUS 6.17. In order to simulate concrete creep, I wrote a subroutine "CREEP". In the subroutine the creep increment needs to be calculated and given to ABAQUS. So far it works well when the loading is increasing (positive creep increment). However, during the unloading of the concrete the creep increment becomes negative (which is the correct behavior) but ABAQUS does not accept a negative creep increment and treats it as zero. Does anyone know how to do the unloading using the "CREEP" subroutine or why ABAQUS does not accept a negative creep increment?

Thank you in advance for any help
