creating inspection sheets

My employer does not think it possible to create an inspection sheet showing drawing dimensions, so currently machinists have to manually create a dimension report before machining parts. Is there a way that an inspection sheet can be created as this would help speed up production. We use AutoCad. Please help a very frustrated employee!
