Creating Complex Molds with Solidwork's Mold Tools

I am trying to create a mold for a casting class and I am struggling to find a way to successfully separate the part in question. I have a pretty good understanding of solidworks and its mold tools but can seem to find a way to make this work. Looking for any suggestions.
