drag the lower bar of your feature tree up to the point you want to insert and go

or you can put in your plane just don't use any features in the definition that you eventually want after your plane, then drag it up your feature tree

Also you will have to remove all existing relationships from other features\sketches\planes\axes, etc..., which might prevent you from moving a sketch\feature... I do this often and once you remove those relationships they are free to move. So to keep that from occurring I temporarily add a fixed relationship. These will keep everything fixed while you reconfigure the history tree. You can always remove those FIX relationships and add back your original relationships as needed. I try to avoid leaving fixed relationships. They are almost as bad as in-contexted relationships when you change something later and it doesn't move.

Setareh sh,

Been there, done that. I was not allowed to fire the idiot who made it all necessary.

[li]Create your plane using whatever geometry you want attached to it.[/li]
[li]Create a 3D sketch. I draw an "L" shape with both lines on the plane.[/li]
[li]Edit your 3D sketch, disconnecting it from your plane. You can define each of the three points from your primary planes.[/li]
[li]Move your sketch to the top of your feature tree.[/li]
[li]Edit your plane, using the three points of your "L" sketch to define it.[/li]
[li]Move your up the feature tree to just below your "L" sketch.[/li]
