Create a drawing view at a particle moment in a PART's history

I have a part (6 steps in part history) that I need to have a drawing view of it in one of its early history.
I can suppress the history and then create the drawing view at that moment of time, but then when I go back to the part and turn back on the remaining
history for the rest of the drawing that first drawing view is now out of date.
Any suggestions for creating this view without creating another part?

In the model, suppress back to 'step 1' and use the 'extract body' (extract geometry -> body option) command (make sure the 'at timestamp' option is turned on). This will create an associative copy of the body at that moment in the history. Repeat this process for the other steps - except for the last, your finished model will represent the final step. I'd suggest renaming these features and/or adding a comment so they are marked in the part navigator and others who may work on the file will know what they are for (moving them to their own layers and making the layers visible but not selectable is also probably a good idea, you don't want someone inadvertently adding new features to one of these bodies). If you are using the master model concept for your drawing, you can create a new view for each of the steps in the model file, then import those views into your drawing file. If the drawing is in the same file as the model, you'll probably have to use 'layer visible in view' to selectively hide the bodies in the drawing views.
