Good morning all,

I usually work with services for heavy equipment but I want to expand and cover Cranes(Overhead, Pedestal and Mobile Cranes) but I am a little bit loss here at the begining.

Does anyone have a preventive maintenance plan or something to help me know where I have to walk?

Many Thanks!

Don't walk under the load.

P/M on a crane includes regular proof test lifts, which means you have to drag in a large proof test load; your minivan probably won't pull it.

Because of brakes and loadholding, the controls may not look like what you're used to.

I.e., I suggest you find a way to work alongside guys who do crane service regularly before you hang out your own shingle.

There is a lot of information available for what you seek. There are several avenues that you can take. The first is to contact the manufacturers of the equipment for material. Secondly, operators manuals will include topics and check lists in their manuals to assist you in the inspection and maintenance requirements. Another option, you could contact the private sectos that are involved in regulatory requirements for inspection and maintenance and they introduce you to their record keeping.
Any time you buy new and used equipment, there would be manuals detailing the maintenance programs and inspection requirements and if none is available contact the manufacturer for copies..

That's a start. Also contact your crane manufacturers for operators and maintenance manuals that way you will have specific instead of generic information which you have in your link.
