By mistake the hub of one coupling Rexnord type AMR size 700 used in our compressors was over bore by 0.005", the bore should be 5,620" and it was machined to 5,620". Any advise in order to save the hub?.

Regards,
Miguel

You did not mention the material of the hub. The document you reference from the OEM lists cast iron as standard for this model. If it is cast iron, you have limited options. And most of them would cost more than a new hub. I would purchase a new hub and bore it to the correct dimension. This hub should be an off-the-shelf item and readily available in the US.

Can you modify it to fit a Fenner taperlock bush?

It's a pain but 5 thou is too much to make up and the only way to solve is by welding, but welding introduces all kinds of problems to do with heat treatment, cost of special rods, and re machining. The best thing to do in many cases is to write it off and start again. Sorry but that is the way it is.
