I've worked for outfits that didn't "need no stinkin' budget".
Most couldn't understand why they couldn't hold on to any of the money that flowed through; big surprise there.
But if a VP says the project _will_ come out as the "forecast" projected, well then, it will. It's like magic.
Better buy some smoke and mirrors.
