Do salt or dry fertilizer storage buildings create really high corrosive atmospheres? Do I need to be concerned about the corrosion of fasteners that aren't in direct contact with the salt or fertilizer? I know that for liquid fertilizer storage, or swimming pools, everything present in the room is fair game for corrosion, but if the stored material is granular, does contact have to be made before the effects of corrosion need to be considered?
Thanks.
