Does anybody know where can I find some info about the behaviour of 304 stainless steel in contact with tinher?

Just in contact with tinher. I mean, I just wanna perform a superficial cleaning to eliminate some oil sediments. I like to know how harmful tinher can be for the passive film, could it be destroted?, or, is the behaviour similar to that showed by acetone?

I think that's thinner you're talking about and it doesn't harm stainless, just as with acetone, as you say.

You're right¡ I mean Thinner. Tanks for your advise. Do you know where can I find some literature to support it?

Dear Peter,
You should consider to do as follows:
Try to determine composition of your thinner (e.g. using “safety material data sheet”) and next go to compare with Corrosion Survey Database (COR·SUR) NACE. There are many organic formulas relating to 304.
Best regards
