I just started using WF5/Creo (build code M070). I do not have Adv Asm. In all previous versions of WF I was able to Activate a part in an assembly and copy/paste surfaces from another model into my active model. In WF5 I cannot select geometry from any model/assembly other than what is in my active model. Also, if I activate a part in an assembly andstart a new sketchI'm not able to reference any outside geometry either.

I'm thinking this must be a config option but have not been able to hunt it down yet. Any help would be appreciated..

May have to do with your external references settings.

allow_ref_scope_change
default_ext_ref_scope
default_object_scope_setting
default_object_invalid_refs
ignore_all_ref_scope_settings
model_allow_ref_scope_change
scope_invalid_refs
