Can someone provide me there thoughts on using Copper plated steel brackets for plumbing pipe being attached to #1 galvanized metal studs with #2 black coated screws. The IPC 308.3 states hangers and strapping material shall not promote galvanic action. The manufacture of the bracket Holdrite states its not a problem since the bracket is located within the wall and no moisture should be in contact at either location. I agree there shouldn't be any moisture however as an inspector how do I ignore the code section ?

Thanks,

What is the pipe material?

The most vulnerable part is probably the screws.

Holdrite is unaware of condensation apparently?
