I was trying to evaluate the web buckling strength of a W18x76 with a 5" deep cope on the top and a 3" deep cope on the bottom. The length of the cope is 3.25"

I was using AISC Volume II Connections, App B (1992) for my text. They give an adjustment factor for a cope depth <= 0.2d. But they don't tell you what to do if the cope > 0.2d. Then I found Example 4 with cope > 0.2d and they used the adjustment factor for equation B-5 anyway!

I checked the AISC website for errata and it did not cover this appendix. My other choice might be using equations A-B5-3 and A-B5-4 in App B of AISC 9th Ed specs. Help!!!

The 13th edition manual has a whole section on this. I don't have my manual in front of me, but I know it's there.

Thanks for the tip. I found it on 9-8 in the 13th Ed.
