What is normally provided for cooling tower chemical treatment? A conductivity controller? A pH controller? A combination conductivity/pH controller? Single biocide? Dual biocide? Is there any website out there with good info?

Hi CME,

Conductivity is used primarily to control blowdown (limiting cycles of concentration and preventing precipitation of solids).

pH is used primarily to meter chemical.

The best resource is a REPUTABLE water treatment vendor. Check references first, then consider what he/she says.

The answers will vary based on your fresh water characteristics, where the cooling tower is located, etc...

Good luck with it!

Old Dave
