Cooling Coil Water Quality

Anyone ever heard of any minimum quality spec for water in a cooling coil? I assume this is in regards to calcium, bacteria, etc. If so, what is the standard way of communicating water quality requirements? The application is a SS cooling coil inside a slurry tank. Thanks.
