Dear Friend

Do you have any free soft-ware to changing the PDF files to DWG . I have down loaded a software from internet but text object has been changed to some lines when they were converted to DWG. It is very important for me that the TEXT object remain as TEXT after they are converted. Could you help me or refer me to some reference in internet.

Thanks

A PDF file allows you to "copy" text directly from it, which you could then paste directly into AutoCad. There is a button on the PDF toolbar with a "T" on it for text grabbing. Or is your situation different than this?

If your PDF has text like in a photograph then you need Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software.

Pressed, this is true when you have the PDF-writer, the free pdf reader does not support this.
About the OCR software you are right

svanels, maybe you need to update your version. The standard Adobe reader (free) current version (ver 7) allows you to select using a Select tool (unless the original has been specifically saved as non-copyable)

Good Luck

I think it extremely difficult to convert bit image files to .dwg files, picking up both the drawing and the text reliably. It makes a huge difference how the original document was created. If it is not machine generated and in very good condition then the amount of checking and repair needed will make it very expensive.
