dear team, can you please support me and list the main key parameters need to be checked once we need to Convert Gas Oil Tank to unconverted oil product service from hydrocracking unit. And what is the main system challenges to the pumps and loading arms

Your best bet is to get a copy of API 653 and go through Annex H - Similar Service Assessment.

Creating a report based on this gives you a very good documented assessment of whether the tank is suitable or not.

If you're taking the tank out of service before hand, than an inspection to Annex C may also be very good to demonstrate that you've taken all reasonable steps to ensure a good changeover.

What though in the name of god is "unconverted oil product service from hydrocracking unit". That could be anything.

I would also get a copy of the tank data sheet as existing and go through it and mark up all the parameters which you're thinking of changing as point of record and see how it affects any part of API 650 design.

Pumps and loading arms is impossible to tell as we have no idea what the physical parameters are of this mysterious fluid compared to Gas Oil. And no details provided. Product parameters significantly different such as SG or vapour pressure in particular can cause significant issues.

Some general items- also see API-653. You are proposing a "change of service":
Changes in specific gravity vs shell design, foundation design, seismic design, floating roof design, manway cover design
Requirements for floating roofs, internal or external
Requirements for venting, emergency venting
Requirements for interior lining
Compatibility of gaskets
Fire protection/foam systems/ tank siting due to different product

Hi,

I am referring exactly if we need to change tank fluid service for example if we want to store Jet fuel in Gas Oil tank. what is best reference I can follow for my evaluation if the tank can handle the new fluid (Jet fuel)

I al ready told you what to do. Appendix H.

Jet fuel and gas oil are quite similar so as long as you clean the team before hand you should have no issues, but don't trust me, do the work yourself to document it.
