I'm trying to figure out the best solution to my problem. I have 10 electronic components all stacked on top of each other in an open space (not in a closed cabinet). There's no internal fans or cooling systems, just vents on the components. To maintain and control heat issues, would it be best to a) put on shelving to space these out and hope natural airflow solves the problem. b) use fans to blow hot air away from components.
I'm thinking route A is my best bet, and if I were to go with route A I have a few questions. Would using wire shelving or solid (wood, metal, whatever) be best? The wire shelving would allow for more airflow I imagine but the sold shelving would absorb heat and mainly stop hot air from reaching the components above and below.
No, I cannot arrange them in a different way, I know that would be the easiest and makes the most sense but they need to pretty much stay stacked as they are. Please let me know what y'all think, thank you!
