Control chart with multiple samples

I have sample groups that include anywhere from 1 to 3 individual samples. How would one set up a control chart using excel for this situation? Would I have to calculate the control chart constant for each sample group, and enter that into a control chart? I currently am doing it based on the average of 2, but want to be sure I am accurate.
