Hi,
I have done a contact analysis using conta174 & targe170(using contact wizard in ansys6.1). I have given contact stiffness factor as 0.5 & penetration tol as 0.1. While running, the output window shows contact stiffness=4382 & tol=0.387. What is the formula or equn inside the software and On which basis the equation is formulated. I think the properties of both contact & target materials will be the fators in the equation. Is that correct? If so what is the weightage of each?
