Hi,
I'm a new user of ABAQUS and Iam trying to solve a problem of semi-rigid joint of steel column base with concrete foundations. My model looks like this, bolts are modeled as a wire, steel plates are modeled as a shell, and conrete block is modeled as a solid. And now I must to find out how should I model a contact between bolts and foundations. Should I make a hole in foundations block in place of bolt's pin and then use constraint type: embedded region or what should I do to model that contact.
I will be very grateful for any tips about this problem.
