Dear structural , with the attached figure , the calculation is don according to the Swedish code , no min reinforcement like aci code ,, no beam ,the calculation don by using FEM design strusoft program , it shows the reinforcement mm2/m

What is your idea about the consideration, we use hinged column and wall, and may we consider it as fixed


is there any consideration for flat plate ,what’s the theoretical consideration when we design a flat plate

Your posted file is huge. Make it smaller so it opens.
 
I doubt many here are familiar with the Swedish code, but it looks like your flat plate is quite a simple structural element. Just divide it into strips and design accordingly. Things to watch out for are punching shear at the columns, torsion at the corners, and restraint cracking due to the perimeter walls.
 
dear hokie66 ,thanks for your replay , if you have any resorce on flat plate ,the swedish code do not take in account any minimum reinforcement ,how can i urge them to use minimum reinforcement
 
ADOSS is an excellent software to design the slab, if you can define your strips. Don't just rely on software, it sometimes difficult to determine punching stress. Are u checking it manually. I personally don't like columns to be pinned in concrete structure. Ideally pin is developed by development of crack in concrete structure if monlithically cast.

It might help if we knew your position, and who you are trying to convince. Who are you "urging to use minimum reinforcement"?

I wouldn't want to get into a discussion of the merits of your software, because before you use any design aid to design a flat plate, you need to first understand how a flat plate works. That basic understanding cannot be gleaned from this site.
 
I don't know if you have commentary to ACI, it have nice examples for flatslab design and all the checks you need to go thru.
 
yes i have aci with commentary but there is no examples in it ,
 
I believe there are examples, but i think code not allow you to assume monolithic joint as pinned unless u detailed that way.
 
this slab is supported by a steel column and theres a plate over the column , how do you consider that , it works as a hinged support , or what do you think
 
This would be more simple analyis, by assuming your design strip and having columns as pinned support. Make sure you are calculating specifically for punching shear. First develop the strips and then proceed.
