I'm trying to find the 'standard' or 'best practice' list for discipline numbering. Not sure if I know what i'm asking for.
Typically, in the lists I've seen, Instrumentation is always section 15, Electrical is always section 16, etc. Seems no matter what company I've worked with, or have done work with, uses the same numbering system. So, specifications/guidelines for instrumentation seem to be always under section 15.
Where does this come from? Construction guideline? Sourcing? Purchasing?
I'd like to know what this is based on, what the rest of the 'standard' sections are and in particular, if there is a separate one for Control Systems/Process Automation.
