Hi I am currently improving a LAN of approximately 120 workstations, and would like to know what are the different types of hardware and software I should consider using. Moreover, should I use a dedicated line or go through a standard fiber optic ISP?

Thax for your help.

What software you need depends on what you have.
I have no idea what a standard fiber optic ISP is, please explain.

If you could provide more detailed information the list could be of some help.

Information like:
-what type of "workstations" are we talking about?
-What is your current LAN architecture?
-How are you currently connected to internet?
-What do your users do for a living, is the nature of their work very computational, do they move very large data sets, or is email, office automation tasks with the occasional bit of web surfing.

Hope this is helpful
regards
-jeff
