I am replacing a watermain and I need to connect the new 14" HDPE SDR 11 to the existing 14" SCH 10 Steel pipe going into a pumphouse. Currently the main is connected to the pumphouse piping with a 14" Dresser coupling (outside the pumphouse, below grade). I was thinking either a flanged connection or a coupling of some sort. Any suggestions?

Why don't you just reuse the dresser coupling? Weld a flange onto the HDPE and then connect it to the dresser coupling with a pipe spool with one end of the spool being flanged.
