Is it true that implementation of PDM/PLM with SolidWorks means the end of part and assembly configurations?

What about tabulated drawings?

I'd be tempted to ask this in the SW forum instead of here, but you might get answers.

KENAT,

Have you reminded yourself of faq731-376 recently, or taken a look at posting policies: What is Engineering anyway: faq1088-1484

I would use each SW configuration to relate to another PN. I have done this without any problems. It is probably worth mentioning that most folks consider it best practice to write policy stating that the drawing revision relates to the drawing as a document. The tabulations (parts) do not carry a revision. I have seen good discussions of this in other areas, but it is best to read several thick books on it. (Seriously!)
